Oaklynn School provides specialised education for learners with complex needs and intellectual disabilities, from ages 5–21.

Based in West Auckland, Oaklynn offers a range of settings including the main school and satellite classes within local mainstream schools, creating inclusive opportunities for students to learn, participate, and thrive. As an intern at Oaklynn School, you’ll work alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff to enhance both learning and wellbeing for students. You may be involved in supporting inclusive classroom environments, adapting tasks and activities to suit individual strengths and needs, and contributing to programmes that build communication, independence, and life skills.

You may also provide one-to-one support for students with specific learning needs or take part in projects aligned with your educational interests. Throughout your time at Oaklynn, you’ll not only support students on their learning journey but also experience the reward of making a genuine difference in their lives and the lives of their families.
