Mia Barr

Mia was an international intern who came to New Zealand, returned home to Denmark before coming back to ‘The Land of the Long White Cloud’. Mia worked in a range of disability sector roles, before undertaking the sourcing and supervising of interns for her employer. After nearly a decade in this role, Mia has built a strong reputation for supervising interns’ academic requirements, supporting their relationships with their host organisations, and caring for the personal development and welfare of interns under her wing. ‘Mamma Mia’, as she is known, is now the co-founder, Director and Internship Supervisor of White Cloud, a full-service internship facilitator which aims to ‘enable learning and growing opportunities in New Zealand’.
