My time at Spectrum Care is an unforgettable adventure. I had so many new and positive experiences working with children and adults with special needs. By being an intern at the organization Spectrum Care, I had the opportunity to meet and work with so many talented and passionate people. I learned about new methods and strategies and I became very aware of ethical challenges, through many constructive conversations with my supervisors, colleagues and fellow interns. I am very thankful for how Mia Barr and Cecilie Puck provided us all with new knowledge and relevant advises throughout our stay, and at the same time they acted as a friend, who listened and motivated you.
I also got the chance to travel around New Zealand. I think it is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I believe it’s also home of one of the most friendly and helpful populations. I almost felt instantly at home, when I arrived in New Zealand and that was primarily because of the natives and their ability to make you feel welcomed.
I was filled with renewed courage, when I came home to Denmark, not only in relation to my studies, but in general. I can say with certainty, that I have nothing but fond memories from my internship at Spectrum Care.
